Verizon SMB Pricing Increases – January, 2016

Telecommunications Provider Rate Change Update provided by Next Generation Communications.

Verizon will be increase the following services on a month to month basis on or after January 16, 2016:

  • Call answering voicemail service increase by $0.75.
  • Call Answering with Call Forwarding increase by $2.75.
  • Call Forwarding, Call Waiting and Call Forwarding Busy/Don’t answer increase by $0.50.
  • Telesure Plus Maintenance Plan and the Sentry I plan will increase $1.00.
  • Remote Call Forwarding will increase by $1.00.
  • Verizon Freedom Feature Packages 1 and 2 will increase by $2.00.
  • Services included in a bundle, package or term price will not increase.

Comcast Fee Increases Metro Ethernet – January, 2016

Next Generation Communications telecommunications provider client update: there are several fee increases for Enterprise Metro Ethernet and PRI/SIP customers. Details are below:

Metro Ethernet & Trunk Customers Equipment Fees

Existing Comcast Business Ethernet and Trunk (PRI and SIP) customers will see a new charge, presented as an Equipment Fee, on their invoice beginning 1/1/16, regardless of contract term. Customers will be charged a monthly Equipment Fee of $24.95 per site for Ethernet customers and /or $14.95 per site for Business Trunk customers.

New Ethernet customers will also begin to see the fee as of January 1, 2016. New Business Trunk customers will see the fee as of January 7, 2016.

All charges will be applied and billed on a per site, per month basis.

Federal Cost Recovery Fee for Interstate Ethernet Customers

Inter-state customers with Ethernet Network Services (ENS), Ethernet Private Line (EPL), or Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) will see a new Federal Cost Recovery Fee on their bills. Impacted customers will see this new fee labeled “Federal Cost Recovery Fee” of 2.88% on their invoice with bill cycles beginning January 1, 2016. Customers who are not currently charged the Federal Cost Recovery Fee were notified of these changes via bill message starting December 1, 2015. Ethernet Dedicated Internet (EDI) customers are not impacted by this fee.

Telecommunications Provider Rate Change Update provided by Next Generation Communications:  there are several fee increases for SMB customers. Details are below:

Small Business Customers – Equipment Fee

The fee increase for Business Internet and/or Business Voice customers is up $2.00 from $12.95 to $14.95 per customer, per month and is applicable to new and existing customers. It is inclusive of Business Hospitality customers.

Broadcast TV Fee & Regional Sports Fee Increases

Comcast Business TV customers were notified of Broadcast TV and Regional Sports Fees (RSN) increases for 2016. Fee increases are applicable to new and existing customers, but do not include Business Hospitality customers.

Broadcast TV Fee

For customers with Private or Public View video service, the Broadcast TV fee increased to $5.00

RSN Fee

• Private View (with Standard or Preferred TV service and above) – Fee increased from $1.00 to $3.00
• Public View TV (Digital Standard, Digital Deluxe, Sports and Entertainment Deluxe or other add-on sports packages) – Fee increased from $1.00 to $3.00
