Managing Your Verizon Business Bill

Sunday, August 1st, 2010 by Jackie Winchenbaugh

Next Generation Communications would like to encourage all Verizon Business customers to begin conducting monthly, or bi-monthly reviews of their phone bills. Performing monthly or bi-monthly bill reviews prevent unnecessary or unauthorized charges from being applied to your bill.

The most important reason to perform monthly or bi-monthly bill reviews is to prevent unauthorized charges from dramatically increasing your monthly phone bill. We have recently noticed an increase in “charges from other companies,” or third party charges, on our Verizon Business customers’ bills. Many of these third party charges have been unauthorized by our customers. Verizon will credit unauthorized charges and offer to block these services from being added to your bill. Next Generation Communications Verizon business customers please call us with any questions - we will help you review your bills.

Broadview Networks Receives Commendation for High Quality Service

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010 by Jackie Winchenbaugh

Broadview Networks, another recommended carrier of Next Generation Communications, has been awarded for excellent services. The State of New York Department of Public Service recently awarded Broadview Networks a commendation for its high quality telephone service. The annual Service Quality Commendation Program recognizes companies that provide excellent levels of service. The basis of the award is a recommendation from the State of New York Office of Telecommunications. Broadview Networks, a leading communications provider, was commended for service based on criteria set by the Public Service Commission (PSC). To be eligible for the commendation, carriers must provide service over their own facilities and have fewer than 3.3 “troubles” per 100 phone lines. This metric, referred to as the Customer Trouble Report Rate (CTRR), measures a company’s monthly performance per central office. Companies must also show 0.075 or fewer PSC complaints per 1,000 access lines.

“We are pleased to be recognized by the Commission for excellent service,” said Brian Crotty, chief operating officer for Broadview Networks. “Service quality is, and has always been, a driving factor in our efforts to serve businesses in the State of New York and nationwide. This award is truly recognition of Broadview’s employees and their dedication to delivering a world-class experience. More than ever, businesses are seeking out providers that deliver excellent levels of service.” For more information on the commendation, visit the State of New York Department of Public Service website at www.dps.state.ny.us.www.dps.state.ny.us .

Changes to One Communications’ Automatic Bill Payments

Friday, March 26th, 2010 by Jackie Winchenbaugh

Next Generation Communications would like to advise its One Communications customers that One Communications has changed the process for how customer monthly recurring automatic bill payments are handled. Any customers that would like to have recurring automatic bill payments must now use One Communications’ customer portal, One Connect, to set up the recurring payments.

Existing customers who currently pay their monthly invoices via recurring Auto Payment must register their account on One Connect and set up recurring Auto Payments to continue having payments automatically withdrawn. Current automatic payment customers who prefer not to set up recurring payments within One Connect by the April 30th deadline will need to remit conventional, manual payments going forward.

New customers who would like to establish monthly recurring Auto Payments must register for the One Connect account management portal and set up their payments within the portal.

The Auto Payment terms and conditions have also been updated. Going forward, all monthly payments will now be processed seven (7) days after the invoice date.

Existing customers will experience a change in the timing of their monthly payments; in the past, their payments were processed 25 days after the invoice date. Depending on the date on which they establish their new Auto Payment settings in One Connect, they may even see two payments within the same month. This is NOT duplicate billing; it is simply a one-time change to the timing of the recurring monthly payment.
