Next Generation Communications telecommunications provider client update: Verizon will be increasing rates on Directory Listings effective March 3, 2012. Charges for non-listed telephone numbers will increase from $4.00 to $4.50/listing per month. Additional Listings including foreign, alternate and cross reference listing classifications will increase from $4.00 to $4.75/listing per month for business customers. The additional listings charges for Residential customers including foreign, alternate and cross reference listing classifications will increase from $3.00 to $3.75/listing per month. Next Generation Communications recommends clients review the additional listings associated with their accounts to ensure these listings are vlaid and relevant. Beginning in 2011, most Verizon directories will not include residence White Pages listings. All White Pages listings can be accessed at www.verizon.com/whitepages. Or you may order either a free print or CD ROM copy of your local residential White Pages by calling 1-800-888-8448.

Verizon Rate Changes

Effective on or about October 1, 2011, the Federal Subscriber Line Charge may change on your main phone line and any additional phone lines. This charge helps pay for the costs of providing and maintaining the local network.
In addition, your Federal Universal Service Fund (FUSF) surcharge may change effective on or about October 1, 2011. The FUSF surcharge is authorized by the FCC and reviewed quarterly, provides funding for programs to keep local telephone rates affordable for all customers and to provide funding for programs to keep local telephone rates affordable for all customers and to provide discounts to schools, libraries, rural health care providers and low income families.
